Hello students!
Band people, remember to turn in your school instrument next week on your assigned day (see Mrs. Roden’s email). If you have a store rental, please return it to the store, not to the school! Thank you to those that have been participating with remote learning. It’s been a challenge, and your parents deserve a high five! Check Powerschool and turn in any missing assignments next week. Thank you all!
As students finish their last art project, I am shedding a few tears thinking this is the last creation I will see from you this year! I thoroughly enjoy each and everyone of your creative pieces, because I know, in them, you share a little of yourselves! Thank-you for sharing and for taking risks---as famous artist, Henri Matisse said: “Creativity takes courage!”
Don’t forget tomorrow is the last day you can enter our virtual art contest. Make sure you give your piece a title, and email me a picture and the title. There are a lot of pretty cool prizes to give out, so be sure to enter!
We made it! I’m sad we didn’t get to finish out the year singing and having our concerts, but life is crazy sometimes. I will miss you Show Choir! I hope you all continue with music and make it a part of your life. I’m excited to get to know all of you who will be continuing choir in 7th grade better.
We will continue to vote on our favorites in the Broadway genre and then our favorite song of ALL genres in our tournament. Only the first round is graded, but I do want to see which song you all like the best, so don’t check completely out yet. ;)
