CELL PHONES
To protect instructional time, eliminate classroom distractions, and promote a focused learning environment, the use of cell phones, personal listening devices, and other non-school-issued technology is strictly regulated during the school day.
"Bell-to-Bell" Class Restrictions: Cell phones, personal listening devices (including AirPods, headphones, and Bluetooth speakers), and other personal electronic devices must be silenced and stored completely out of sight (in backpacks, lockers, or classroom phone-pockets as directed by the teacher) during all instructional periods. They may not be carried on your body during class.
When Use is Permitted: Secondary students (grades 7–12) may use their cell phones and headphones responsibly only during designated non-instructional times, such as passing periods and lunch breaks. (Note: Elementary students must keep devices off and in backpacks for the entire school day).
Smartwatches and Other Tech: Smartwatches are permitted to be worn as long as they are kept in silent mode and do not cause a distraction. Personal laptops, gaming devices, and virtual/extended reality headsets are not allowed at school.
Strict Privacy Rules: Recording videos or taking pictures is strictly forbidden in private school zones, including restrooms, locker rooms, dressing areas, and counseling spaces.
Loss and Theft Disclaimer: Students bring personal devices to school at their own risk. The school and its staff are not responsible for the theft, loss, or damage of any personal electronics.
1st Offense: A formal warning is issued.
2nd Offense: The teacher will confiscate the device until the end of the class period and log the infraction.
3rd Offense: The device is confiscated and sent to the front office, where the student can retrieve it at the end of the school day.
4th+ Offenses: The device is held in the main office until a parent or guardian comes to pick it up. Continued defiance may result in a loss of d
