Our spaces have to meet the needs of many ensembles. Care before and following rehearsal by all individuals goes a long way to protecting our investments and promoting the highest possible musicianship.
Retrieve folder/print music
Take assigned rehearsal position
Begin healthy physical/vocal warm-up
Prepare your own musical space
Adjust chairs/stands/equipment to meet rehearsal expectations
Seek additional equipment (as needed) from regular storage areas
Retrieve instrument and print music
Begin healthy instrument warm-up and review literature as planned for rehearsal

Stack and remove musician chairs
No more than 6 high on the floor or 25 per rack (absolute max)
Remove music stands to side of rehearsal space or to hallway
If racking stands, fold desk and follow the pattern of previously racked stands
Remove unused percussion equipment to a safe space for the duration of rehearsal
Keep track of loose concert percussion music
Return to the appropriate folder if possible

PRE-REHEARSAL
Retrieve and place assigned instruments/stands/tables at rehearsal location
Retrieve music stand if necessary
POST-REHEARSAL
Stow properly in cabinet for concert band use or pack in trap case
Return trap case(s) to storage location
Return music stand to rack or concert band setup
If racking stands, fold desk and follow the pattern of previously racked stands
PRE-REHEARSAL
Retrieve and place assigned drum stand at rehearsal location
Properly set arms/supports and snug all connections
Do not overtighten
Check level and balance/weight distribution before mounting drum
Uncase and mount drum
Stow case until end of rehearsal
Retrieve appropriate sticks/bass mallets
Retrieve music stand if necessary
POST-REHEARSAL
Return sticks/bass mallets to storage location
Dismount and return drum to case
Stow case in storage location
Return drum stand to storage location
Fold as needed and snug connections to protect all parts
Do not overtighten
Return music stand to rack or concert band setup
If racking stands, fold desk and follow the pattern of previously racked stands
GENERAL USE GUIDELINES
Never max out volume or gain
Power down before unplugging instrument/speaker/mic cables
Know that speaker cables are different than instrument cables
Use appropriate power cables/grounded extension cords
Do not change voltage settings
Power down immediately after use and store properly
Transport in provided case (as applicable)
PRE-REHEARSAL
Place equipment at rehearsal location
Make all connections between instrument/amp/powered speaker
Run extension cord as needed
Plug into wall receptacle and turn on equipment
Retrieve music stand if necessary
POST-REHEARSAL
Power down equipment and unplug from wall receptacle
Powered speaker may remain plugged in if charging is necessary
Move to a safe location if charging
Disconnect all instrument/speaker/mic cables
Coil and store properly
Over/under for most cables
Wind and return extension cord as needed
Return equipment to protective cases
Stow equipment/cases in storage location
Return music stand to rack or concert band setup
If racking stands, fold desk and follow the pattern of previously racked stands
PRE-REHEARSAL
Arrange and uncover mallet instruments
Retrieve appropriate mallets and place in hanging stick bags at instrument
Retrieve music stand if necessary
POST-REHEARSAL
Return mallets to storage stick bags for concert band use
Replace plastic covers/return to vinyl sleeves to prevent handling/wear/dust
Cover and return instrument to concert band setup or storage location
Return music stand to rack or concert band setup
