Technology Integration Education

Julie Hall, Tech Integration Educator

Welcome to the Winnacunnet High School Technology Integration Education Page

As educators, we are always striving to answer the question, "How might we empower students to solve the world's big problems and are we preparing them by giving them the digital tools to succeed in the 21st century workplace?" In a rapidly changing and increasingly uncertain world, we strive to prepare our students to be innovative, creative, entrepreneurial, and fearless in the face of failure. Giving them the digital tools to achieve those skills is at the core of our focus when it comes to technology integration.

There is nothing that I enjoy more than brainstorming with teachers about new ways to use digital tools to enrich curriculum and deepen student understanding. I have enjoyed visiting your classrooms to see what tools the many digital tools you are using and how you hope to expand your use of technology to engage your students and build 21st century skills. There are so many tools I want to share and learn to use with you!

How to share them with teachers? I will push out a Tech Tips Newsletter each month. This will have information about new apps, software, challenges, solutions that come up during classroom visits that week. In addition, I will schedule topic driven drop-ins and professional development. We will soon be scheduling monthly Tech Slams for teachers to showcase their greatest success with digital tools! If you have a topic that you would like 1:1 help with or think might be a great idea for professional development, let me know!

How to share them with students? My door is always open if you want to come by my office and brainstorm about ideas for a presentation project or to get some one-on-one help with using a digital tool. I love hearing about what you are learning and how you are using technology in your everyday life--both in and out of the classroom!
