Read a short story or paragraph to your child and ask them "wh" questions about the story (i.e. Who is the main character? What is the setting? etc.).
Have your child read a short text (i.e. from a book, from Razkids, etc.) and answer "wh" questions about the story.
Give your child 1-2 steps directions using basic concepts (i.e. "First get a plate, then get a fork." "Put your socks in the drawer and your shoes next to the dresser." "Before you get in the shower, brush your teeth.").
Have your child collect household items and sort these items into categories (i.e. fruit, toys, clothing, animals, etc.).
Name a category for your child and have them find an object in your house that matches that category.
