The Me project...
> Your goal in coaching class over term 1 & 2 is to work on completing The me project.
> This is an ongoing project aimed at you understanding yourselves more and finding out what your strengths and weaknesses are and how you can work on personal development. Some of this work will be completed in coaching class and other elements will be completed outside of coaching class.
> There will be a range of tasks to complete which can be carried out in any order.
> The way we will keep track of your completion of activities and tasks is that you will keep a record of these on a google site that you will develop.

If you have started one previously you may use this and continue to add to it.
TASK 1: Me
All about me - complete an all about me section, this could utilise a canva template that you then copy the image of and add it in, complete a my fave's Picture and also add it, as well as a list of likes/don't likes must have 5 different things in each list.
A) My Fave's Picture - You are going to use AI (artificial intelligence) to create an image using the prompts from the answers to the following my favourite questions.
My favourite colour is ______________ My favourite animal is ________________
My favourite place is _______________ My favourite hobby is ________________
My favourite food is _______________ My favourite number is _______________
My favourite lolly is ________________ My favourite game or toy is ______________
Use google to find an AI image generator, you may need to sign in using your school google account. Write your answers into an AI image generator in the following format,
> A [animal] eating [food] while [doing the hobby] at the [place] with a [color] sky with [number] of [lolly] raining from the sky and a cloud in the shape of a [game/toy]
> Next step is you can change the style if you want it to look different - pop art, watercolour, cubism, modern, realism, fairytale, etc.
Make a copy of your image and add it to your site
Extra AI challenge - can you create a lego figurine of yourself that shows some things that are important to you or about you. Make a copy of your image and also put this on your site.
b) Homework - send yourself some photos via email so you can access them at school next time to add to your about me section.
c) Reflections on school so far this year;
Add a textbox, Title it - Start of School Reflection.
Write reflections on the following things,
1) Classes, subjects - what have you been doing well in so far, what has been tough, etc
2) School events - tabloids, athletics day, etc - What are you most proud about? What could you have improved on?
d) Base line data, Add another text box, Title it - Start of year data
Add the following headings to it;
> Timestables
> Science thinking with evidence
> Typing
> Reading
> Writing
> Maths

Record your results next to the headings - Typing and Timestables.
You will be doing baseline data testing this week, so when you have the results from these we will add them into this part of your site.
TASK 2: Goals
Complete your Vision Board and add a copy of it onto your site.
TASK 3: Whakapapa - Whanau history
a) Complete your pepeha or a visual way to show/describe your whanau and the important people in your life.
b) Choose one of your names - first name, second name or surname and do some investigation about it's origins - where does it come from? what language? country of origin? translation/meaning?
c) Whanau and Waitara High School connection - describe any connections to Waitara High School your whanau members may have. Eg. My mum(..................) and my Auntie's(.......................) came to school here in the 90's & 2000's
