Autumn Cinquain Poems- Day 1

Using the helpful sheet attached. See if you can create your own Autumn Cinquian Poem! The attached sheet has some great Autumn words to help you with your writing.

I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Tuesday 12th may

Autumn Cinquain Poems- Day 2

Today your task is to complete your Autumn Poems and to publish them! You could draw a big beautiful autumn leaf and write your poem underneath, you could add a nice colourful autumn border to your page.

I have added an example of how you could publish your poems.

Send them through to me so I can see.

Wednesday 13th may

Picture Prompt Writing- Day 1

Write a story about what you see, here are some questions to get you started..

  1. Is this dragon their pet?

  2. What would you do if you had a pet dragon?

  3. Do you think this dragon is wild or tame?

  4. Now draw a picture of an awesome dragon! Cant wait to see these, so please share!

Don't forget to use capital letters and full stops. Proof read your work out loud and make sure it make sense!

thursday 14th may

Picture Prompt Writing- Day 2

Today you can complete your awesome dragon story and then start your proofreading and editing:

  • Reread you story to check it makes sense

  • Check you have capital letters and full stops in the right places.

  • Fix up your underlined words

  • Check your writing is exciting, make changes where needed.

friday 15th may

This week we have been doing some reading and writing about dragons!

Today I want you to draw your own dragon and write a description of it. Use lots of interesting adjectives and verbs to describe what the dragon looks like, feels like, sounds like, smells like, what it can do and how.

You can send me your awesome dragons so I can read all about them!
