This week I have set you some Writing tasks. Click the button below to get started! There is a task for each day. Remember to use your writing tools on this page to help you when you are writing.
Writing Tools
Alphabet Cards
Use this to support your child with sounding out beginning, middle and ending sounds in words.
i.e. "What do you hear at the beginning of book?" "Which letter makes the 'b' sound?"
You can use the high frequency words in the boxes to further support.
Blends and Digraph Cards
Use this card to support your child with sounding out new words. Use the picture cues to help your child to make connections.
i.e. "What two letters make the 'pl' sound in 'play?
Word Cards
Use this card to support your child with child with spelling high frequency words in their writing. Prompt them to identify the beginning sound of the word they are looking for.
Descriptive Words
Use this word card to support your child with using more descriptive and interesting words in their stories.
i.e. instead of always using 'said' you could use 'shouted' to make your writing more exciting.
Writing Paper
If you are looking for some paper to write on I have included a page of lined paper and a planning page with writing space.
You can print these off to use to write on from home.

A great website full of fun activities and games to help students to practise spelling words. You can type in any words that your child wants to learn. You could choose words they underlined in their writing to focus on.
