Autumn Fun!

Collect a bunch of autumn leaves and see if you can make the letters in your name with them. You could also use twigs or sticks to make into your name.

See if you can make your own MINI den for a small toy using a selection of sticks and twigs and leaves in your garden.

Can you make your den waterproof? Can you build rooms in your den? Can you make any pieces of furniture?

Try make an animal out of lego, you could make a cat, a dog or a spider.

Create a boat that can stay afloat for more than 2 minutes in a bath or river! Think of different materials you can use.

Using sticks, flowers, stones and leaves and anything you can find outside build a home for a fairy.

Floating or sinking?

Take 10 items from around your house (with your parent’s permission) and test to see if they float or sink in the water.

Make your own bed and tidy your room. Take a photo of your tidy room!

Challenge - how many days can you keep your room tidy for? You could create a time lapse to see how long it takes you to clean!

Go on a Scavenger Hunt inside your home!

You can print the image if you wanted to have a checklist to tick off when you are running around the house on your scavenger hunt!

It is time to go on a bug hunt! Find insects around your home.

What type of insects are they? Draw them and label them with their body parts.

You could research the bugs that you find and see if you can find some fun facts about your bugs to share with the class tomorrow!

Roll a dice 50 times and see how many times each number came up.

Are you surprised by the result?

Can you make a graph showing your results?

Get someone in your family to have a go and see if their results are different!

Have a look in your board games for a dice. If you cant find one, you could use a block and add the numbers on yourself.

Shape explorer

Take photos of different shapes in your house e.g hexagon, square, triangle etc. See if you can find 10 different shapes.

Design Time!

Design your DREAM HOUSE! What would it look like? What would you have? Draw us a picture, see how much detail and colour you can add! If you don't want to draw you could create one using blocks, lego or boxes.

I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Host a picnic for your family!

Have a picnic outside. Think about what kai (food) you will need to pack and what you will need to sit on and eat off. You could add some of your soft toys to join you in your backyard!

Today your challenge is to organise an egg and spoon race for your family!

All you need are eggs and spoons and some family members that are keen to join! Get ready to race!
