WALT: Use adjectives in our writing.

Day 1- What do you think is happening in this picture. Can you use some adjective (describing words) to describe this picture? (Eg: Hungry lion, green field, quiet man)

Today your challenge is to use some adjectives in your writing. Adjectives are describing words. ie. the white fluffy cat.

Use your imagination and write a story about the man and the lion.

Remember to add adjectives in your story.

Day 2- Reread your story about the lion and the man. Have you including adjectives (describing words) in your writing?

Proofreading and editing:

• Read my writing to check if it makes sense

• Add in any missing words

• Underline my 'not sure' words (spelling errors)

• Use a dictionary or word card to fix any spelling errors

• Check my punctuation marks and fix any errors

Today is your story editing day. Go back to yesterday’s writing and edit it. Can you fix any mistakes? Can you add any words to make it more interesting? Can you change some of the words to more interesting words? Can you add another sentence to make it even better or to explain something a bit more?

Read your finished story to someone in your bubble. You could take a photo of your story to send to me.
