All items that are non-perishable and over $5k are inventoried using the district inventory system. Items that are under $5k that are easily stolen (laptops, cameras, hand tools, etc.) will also be inventoried in the same system.
The CTE Office works directly with the CTE teachers and District Technology Department to keep accurate inventory lists.

VVUHSD CTE will surplus technology through E-Waste with with the district.
CTE teachers need to fill out the surplus Google Form. In the form is a link to a Google Sheet with technology information, including SS#, model names, and much more. CTE teachers, be prepared to fill out this form and sheet completely.
The CTE Coordinator compiles this information and completes a Surplus Board Approval document. Once the board approves, follow the remaining steps.
The CTE Coordinator will send this information to the District Technology team to start the E-Waste pickup process. The CTE Coordinator will also make notes with grant funded purchases and file accordingly in the CTE Office.
The CTE teacher will mark each surplus item with a sticker or paper clearly marking the item surplus.
The CTE teacher will work with their site technology point of contact to pile CTE items with the other district technology surplus items at the site. The site technology point of contact will notify the lead district technology surplus point of contact with the information to come pick up those items. This only happens a few times a year.
District technology staff contacts the E-Waste to schedule a pickup.
E-Waste will pick up orders at each site, usually starting at Adelanto or Victor.
District technology staff will make logistic arrangements with E-Waste.
