Step 1: Establish Articulation (MOU)
CTE teachers initiate articulation through the VVC Articulation Summits.
Articulation agreements (MOUs) must be approved by VVC Faculty to proceed.
Step 2: Student Registration
Students register for the articulated course through VVC, with support from site Counselors and their CTE teacher.
Step 3: Grade & ID Submission
CTE teachers and Career Counselors collect and submit student grades and VVC student IDs via the VVC Portal.
Note: Only Career Counselors and Techs have portal access to enter grades.
Step 4: District Verification
The CTE Office verifies submitted grades and VVC IDs, serving as the district registrar for articulated courses.
Key stakeholders: VVC Faculty & CTE Teachers (course outlines, syllabus, final review)
The CTE teacher will collaborate with the VVC faculty to determine if the high school CTE course outline, syllabus, and final exam meet the rigor of the VVC class.
Key stakeholders: Site Counselor, CTE Teacher, & Student
The CTE teacher will work with site counselors and VVC support services to help students acquire a VVC ID.
Students Apply to VVC using the two-step process:
Start with VVC's website and click on the red Apply button (in the top right corner)
Step 1: Apply with California Community Colleges Appley (CCCA)
Step 2: Apply to VVC to acquire a VVC ID

Key stakeholders: CTE Teacher & site Counselor
CTE teachers will work with site counselors to complete the provided Google Sheet created by the CTE Office.
Information needed: Students' VVC ID, VVUHSD ID, Student First Name, Student Last Name, DOB, Articulated Exam Grade (B- or better).
*Both the CTE Teacher and site counselors will need a system in place to collect students' VVC IDs.
Suggestion: Have an assignment for all of your students to save their VVC email with their VVC ID as a PDF (file print, choose PDF as your printer) and upload/send this PDF to you.

VVUHSD CTE Coordinator is the designated Registrar for the district to submit grades to VVC, due before leaving for summer.
Site Counselors and CTE OAIII will work together to enter data from the provided Google Sheet (created by the CTE Office) into the MyVVC Launchpad data system:
Student VVC ID
VUHSD ID
Student First Name
Student Last Name
DOB
Final Exam Grade (B- or better).
VVUHSD CTE Coordinator will confirm grades in the MyVVC Launchpad data system as the District Registrar.
