Under Perkins V, states are required to report annually on the following core indicators of performance. States are also required to report disaggregated data on the performance of students by gender, race/ethnicity, special population categories, and career clusters. Districts are required to collect this data through the CLNA Report and report findings in the Perkins Annual Application in the Program Grant Management System (PGMS).

The Report on CTE Enrollment and Program Completion, CDE 101 E-1, is designed to collect the annual enrollment and program completion data mandated by the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Improvement Act of 2006 (Perkins IV) and sections 8006 and 8007 of the California Education Code. Each local educational agency (LEA) participating in the Perkins IV funds is required to submit this annual report. LEAs participating in sections 131 and 132 consortia must submit individual reports.
The Report on CTE Placement, CDE 101 E-2, is designed to collect the student placement information mandated by the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Improvement Act of 2006 (Perkins IV) and Section 12053 of the California Education Code. Each local educational agency (LEA) participating in the Perkins IV funds is required to submit this annual report. LEAs participating in Section 131 and 132 consortia must submit individual reports.
