In the English class, for this semester. It was not bad at all. At first, I was nervous to speak English, I was thinking what if I messed up words? However, I now feel significantly more confident.
This semester, my favorite thing is the Unit 4 favorite artist presentation, in which I wrote about JVKE. I enjoy listening to his music, and I'm glad to share his music with my classmates. In the presentation, I wrote about his childhood, his modern life, his famous music, and how he got famous. I chose one of his songs to share with my classmate, I chose "This is what winter feels like"; it was a good song, I like the mood and lyrics of it.
At the start of the semester, my English journey started better, shaky. For the Unit 1 one-minute speech, I talked about my grandpa, the topic of which is introducing an old person. In the first speech, I had a lot of stops, and put too many "and" and "like " when I had the speech. But at the end of the semester, I have minus the time of the "and" and "like" and also stop. I think that was a type of growth. I believe that I will do better in the future. For the Red Eyes, it was also pretty shaky. In the first quiz of my exam, I didn't have a good score, but in the second, I started to review and read the book carefully, so I had a better score than the first one.
English has helped me a lot in other subjects, such as geography. I have utilized some English presentation skills, and after the assessment, I received a good score. In this semester we have learned about SDG 4. SDG 4 it equality education. This SDG want everyone have education, and also good education. In the English there have many connect with SDG 4, for example like, we have many different activities that could let the student understand the topic more. And in our group work, we don't left anyone out, we work together, and also separate different equal job.It was equal and fun.
Most challenge is the one minute speech, even I have do better though the class. But I'm still better scared every time I did it. Because I feel some embarrass in the classmate, it make a embarrass vibe when only one person.Every time I present, I need sometime to have a long psychological preparation, to make myself to make prepared.
For the future plan, I want to practice at least 3 hour in week, read a book in a month. And also want to see some English TV show to improve my listening skill.
This semester taught me English isn’t just quizzes and homework—it’s about sharing things I love with friends. I can’t wait for more English fun next semester!
