This is the spot in your Common App that can seem the most confusing. Basically, this is where you condense all of your afterschool activities, charity work, jobs, volunteering, and other things into 10 different “activities.” You also need to put the name of the organization (if applicable), a 150 character description of the activity, the grades you did it in, and the amount of hours you did it for. Here are some examples of how I, someone who was so busy in high school that I didn’t really have time for anything else, did my activities: 

As you can see, with the right wording, you can make almost anything work in your favor. Also, one quick tip, when it comes to the description of the activity, don’t worry about full sentences, just try to cram as much information as you physically can into those 150 characters. I promise you, it’s not as much space as you think it is.
