The number of immigrant children and youth living in Japan is increasing rapidly, and there is a need to create a society where diversity is respected. However, the voices of the young people concerned are not sufficiently reflected in the policy making processes.
Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR) aims to create an inclusive society and education by conducting research with marginalized youth and delivering the issues and possible solutions to society.

日本で育つ移民の子ども・若者は急増しており、多様性が尊重される社会をつくることが求められています。しかし、多文化共生や移民の子ども・若者の政策づくりに、当事者の若者の声は十分に反映されていません。
若者参加型アクションリサーチ（YPAR）は、マイノリティの若者と共にリサーチを行い、そこで見えてきた課題や解決策を社会に届け、インクルーシブな社会や教育をつくることを目指します。

Our Project Outline
プロジェクトについて
本プロジェクトは、コロナ禍により外国人高校生にどのような影響があったのかを、若者参加型アクションリサーチ（Youth Participatory Action Research:YPAR）という研究方法を用いて外国にルーツを持つ若者たちとともに明らかにし、アクションにつなげていく試みです。
This project adopts Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR) approach and attempts to explore the impact of the COVID-19 on immigrant high school students and take action in collaboration with immigrant youth.
