Do past papers under timed conditions, in one sitting, with no notes.
Mark yourself using the official marking scheme, be brutally honest. Keep track of where you lost marks in a seperate piece of paper.
Focus 80% of your revision on the topics/questions where you lost the most marks.
Why it's so useful: IGCSE repeats question styles. The more papers you do, the more you "predict" what's coming. You train your brain to recognize patterns and manage time under pressure.
Create a list of key scientific terms for each topic, then practise using them in sentences.

IGCSE markers love clear structure. PEEL ensures your essays are organised, persuasive, and easy to follow. You write faster and score higher.
For unseen poetry, start with the title. What does it suggest? Identify one key image, one key word, and one key technique. Analyse them.
Always link back to the question.
Print the official syllabus for each subject.

Mastering Geography
For each topic, memorise 2-3 case studies. For each case study, know: location, causes, effects, responses, and key statistics.
Write a one-page summary for each case study.
Practise drawing key diagrams: weather systems, population pyramids, plate boundaries, river profiles. Add labels and brief explanations.Practise explaining processes using your diagrams.
When analysing sources, use the 4 C's: Content, Context, Purpose, Limitations.
Content: What does it say?
Context: Who made it? When? Why?
Purpose: Why was it created? Who was the audience?
Limitations: What does it not tell you?
Create a glossary of key terms for each topic and define each term in your own words.
Practise using them in context eg. "How would inflation affect a business?"
For each business concept (e.g., marketing mix, financial ratios), memorise the key components.
Practise applying them to case studies in past papers
In exams, always link your answers back to the case study provided!!

Avoid generic answers that could apply to any business (Eg. This means the business will have more profit)
