Passion Project Ideas
計劃
Identify a small, real need in your school or neighbourhood (e.g.,custom study planners, eco‑friendly stationery, exam snack packs)
Set up a simple business w name, basic branding, pricing, cost sheet, and a Google Sheet to track income/expenses/profit
Run it for one exam season or term, then write a 5–10 page “Mini Business Report” with: what you sold, unit economics, what worked/failed, and what you’d change
🏫 Why it’s good for uni: Shows you can turn an idea into a real revenue‑generating venture, understand basic P&L (Profit and Loss) and reflect like an entrepreneur
Design a short workshop or module (45–60 mins) on teen‑relevant finance topics like budgeting allowance/part‑time income, saving for university, basic investing, avoiding scams
Create simple slides, a 1‑page handout, and a short quiz or budgeting worksheet in Excel/Google Sheets
Pilot it with classmates, a youth group, or a CCA, then collect feedback and iterate
🏫 Why it’s good for uni: Demonstrates initiative, communication skills, and understanding of finance plus social impact
Choose 3–5 local businesses (e.g., a bubble tea chain, a neighbourhood bakery, a social enterprise, a small tech startup)
For each, research: target customers, revenue model, pricing, marketing channels, main costs, and biggest challenges; interview an owner/manager (if possible)
Write short case studies (3–5 pages each) with SWOT analysis and 2–3 strategic recommendations; publish as a blog
🏫 Why it’s good for uni: Shows commercial curiosity, analytical thinking, and ability to apply business frameworks to real companies
