Passion Project Ideas
計劃
Create a photo series where you style 18 different looks, each inspired by a different Hong Kong district (e.g., Sham Shui Po workwear, Sai Kung resort wear, Central finance‑core)
For each look do a mood board, outfit breakdown (where items are from / upcycled / DIY), location choice, and a short styling note explaining your concept
Shoot with a friend as photographer/model, edit into a cohesive editorial (website, Instagram carousel, or PDF zine), and write a 3–5 page reflection
🏫 Why it’s good for uni: Shows strong visual storytelling, understanding of styling as communication, and ability to execute a large, coherent creative project
Collect second‑hand or donated clothing (from family, friends, or school drives) and design a small 4–6 piece “collection” by cutting, reconstructing, dyeing, or adding details
Document your process: sketches, fabric experiments, pattern changes, before/after photos, and notes on what techniques worked or failed
Present the final pieces in a mini lookbook or a small showcase (photos or a live mini‑show at school) or on social media
Optional: Write a 3–5 page statement on sustainability, circular fashion, and your design choices!
🏫 Why it’s good for uni: Demonstrates hands‑on making skills, creative problem‑solving with constraints, and awareness of sustainable fashion
