Glossed Texts
You can do this in two ways manually or through a text writing program.
World Poems
If you want to take part in a global initiative to present poems from each country and language, you can do the following:
- To select a certain value or human right in relation to the articles of the Declaration of the United Nations
- Choose a poem in your language that refers to this value or human right (you can also create it yourself or even let the students do it).
-Produce a brilliant text of this poem, adding the YoGoTe signs of the main idea, as explained before. -Introduce the glossed text to their students and explain to them how to interpret the international signs to make gestures and recognize them in the text.
-Make a video recording with the students presenting this poem and making the gestures AT THE SAME TIME.
-Upload the video to YouTube.
-You can produce a post on a blog of which you are the author, with the video, the glossed text and any other information (Author, intention, translation, audiovisual accessories, songs, etc.) and send the link (from this blog entry)
-Your work will be included in a collective website where poems from all parts of the world and in many different languages will be gathered with the help of international signs to show how human values are truly universal and praised by all cultures. and in all languages.
You and your students will introduce your country, your language, your culture, and your values to the rest of the world.
