YDE does not permit volunteers to engage with other non-profit organizations or third-party services at the same venue where they are volunteering for YDE.
However, YDE allows our volunteers to work with other non-profits at venues that we do not have contracts with. Please keep in mind that during our peak season, you are expected to prioritize filling YDE's venue locations first.

The Vikings events are around 8 hours of your volunteer time. Other event times vary. A typical Viking event is from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 3:30-4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. For the evening games. Aramark is good about late check-in times, as they do understand most volunteers are coming right from another job.
Access will be granted to those who completed our volunteer sign-up form and emails the coordinator requesting access to the sign-up sheet. Only reach out if you know that you will actively volunteer at events.
When granted access to the Google document complete the contact information tab first and then proceed to add your name to events you can volunteer your time on behalf of YDE. Do not assume an event is full because a lot of volunteers are already signed up. If you can volunteer, sign up!
Color coding indicates where you have been assigned. This can change up to the day of the event. Always be looking at the Google doc!
Concerts and additional events are added when they are announced throughout the year.
Our locations are not guaranteed to be open at concerts and events outside of Vikings games.
Once you sign up for an event you are fully committing your availability to volunteer your time on behalf of YDE. Committing to an event does not guarantee you will be placed to work at the event. Placement will be dependent on the venue's staffing model for that event.
Please recognize you are signing up to volunteer at the event and earn a donation, you are not signing up to volunteer at a preferred location.
Location assignments are based upon filling our contracted portables first then club-level locations.
We are notified within 48-72 hours if anyone from our group is not needed for any reason at any event. This is in Aramark's contract and out of YDE's control when we are notified of being canceled.
Donation payouts may take up to 60 days to apply to our general scholarship account.
