My Vision

The purpose of this website is to spread awareness of pro-wrestling of yesteryear from all over the world.

2000-2009

In the summer of 2000, I began the first version of this site with several goals.  Inspired by the Sherry Ross Hockey Scouting Reports, I wanted to create such reports of pro-wrestlers.  In doing so, hopefully fans could learn about talent that they had never seen or heard of and compare them to stars that they knew.  My coverage expanded from active to inactive talent, to fighters, to pro-wrestling books and documentaries and it grew into something unmanageable for a single person.  Eventually, I lost my domain name, found myself doing sporadic updates and got word from GeoCities that my site would be destroyed in October 2009.  I decided to scrap the current product updates and focus on the past exclusively.

2009-2019

I rebuilt a new website using Google Sites and even had a few makeovers as time passed. I typically did thematic updates throughout the year adding clusters of new profiles and updating old ones as time passed. I was able to transition most of the relevant content from my GeoCities site including pro-wrestlers who might still be active, but were past their peak years. I also returned to creating thematic video content for YouTube which draws a lot of eyeballs.

2019-current

Many things changed in 2020, my professional work priorities changed, the pandemic impacted us all and Google began their shift from "Classic Sites" to the new Google Sites. Unfortunately, the format of my site would not transition to the new site easily.  I held off and explored other options, but ultimately was forced over and by 2023, the old site needed to go. The new site will take time to get it cleaned up and looking the way I want.
