The clutch subassembly is comprised of all of the components that are required to make the clutch both functional and safe.  All of the shielding for the clutch is made out of 1/8" sheet steel to comply with ASABE competition regulations.  The clutch utilized in this design is the Ogura GP 51560900 electromagnetic clutch.  A custom hub, input shaft, and output shaft will be made for the clutch in order adapt it to the in-line drivetrain configuration.

The main component of this subassembly is the 31hp Briggs and Stratton Vanguard engine, which is required by competition rules. All other components within this subassembly support the installation of the engine into the tractor.  These components include a shaft coupler hub, crankshaft shielding, and engine mount.  The engine mount also acts as a mounting surface for the clutch subassembly.
