Milestone 16: Frame Rail Design

Frame Rail Design

Frame Breakdown

This design is a 2 bar frame rail that has vertical support brackets for the drop box, driveshaft, and clutch housing. The transaxle is attached via fastener plates and brackets that can be seen in Milestone 6, along with the FEA for this structure. This design has casters temporarily attached to the front to allow for this assembly to be displayed separately from the whole tractor. The rails are made of 16 gauge mild sheet steel for a simple material that can be simply fabricated by plasma cutting the sheet steel and manually bending the structure.
