Green infrastructure describes green systems that work with nature to catch, filter, and reduce stormwater. These practices need routine inspection and maintenance to function properly in perpetuity.
Help inspect green infrastructure to trigger needed maintenance
Help bioretention and rain gardens look good and function
Green infrastructure reduces and treats stormwater at its source while delivering other environmental, social, and economic benefits. Green Infrastructure slows down stormwater to reduce downstream flooding and erosion. It soaks up stormwater and nutrients to help prevent harmful algal blooms. It provides habitat to wildlife. When designed and maintained well, green infrastructure provides a beautiful space in our constructed landscapes.
