Description
Level 8, ''Cavern Madness'' is the last of the main nine cluster (Levels in which we fully understand the properties) in the backrooms. The Level features a massive cavern network with tunnels from all corner that may trigger claustrophobia within wanderers. The overall environment of the level features dry rock, drip stone, dry air and cold and shivering atmosphere. The caves in this Level are large and have small tunnels from all corners varying in different sizes, the ceilings where drip stone hangs is seems miles away from the ground. Level 8 is almost completely devoid of light, one must use their senses to traverse this dangerous level. It is advised to avoid at any cost. Un-fortunate wanderers who end up in the hellscape have to encounter many obstacles to reach a new, destination.
The chamber system of Level 8 is very confusing and dangerous. The M.E.G has constructed a route to read to Base Omega. This route has many names, most notably, ''9th Road'', these tunnels are dimly lit and may give other wanderers a safe feeling to enter the passage. Most wanderers still end of confused, and most meet their fate within un-explored canals and chambers. It is still very easy to get wedged within the routes if one is not experienced in cave exploration. Some tunnels go as small as 50 cm (1.6 feet) wide.

Still, the environment of Level 8 is very un-forgiving, the air can sometimes be unsafe for breathing within the small canals. The Temperature also varies in the tunnels, near ''9th Road'' temperatures only get as low as 60 F (10-15 C), but in some areas without breathable air can boil up to 105 F (42 C).
''Landmarks'' or ''Structures'' exist within the Level where wanderers can determine where they are safe, these include tight squeezes which are common around 9th Road and types of enclaves which, has been deemed NOT WORTH YOUR LIFE to reach 9th Road. Use your sense of direction and sense and navigate the network of wires.

The M.E.G has settled base Omega on the path of 9th Road.
Other Various Minor Communities
Sometimes, you may encounter different communities within the caverns of Level 8. These people are often finding solace within other members. Unfortunately, due to the Backrooms effects, most of these community members are usually within the early stages of their wretched cycle. If you do think of co-operating with these communities, be aware of Wretches.
Entrances and Exits
Entrances -
Currently, only one mode has been found to lead to Level 8. And that is by finding an underwater cave in Level 7 and travelling to an air pocket/swimming to the top. (very risky in terms of holding ones breath.)
Exits -
Going along 9th Road will lead one to the M.E.G base Omega in which going through a threshold can lead one to Level 9.
Rarely, the caves (as mentioned above) can sometimes change environment or the canals may lead one to different outdoor levels such as Level 9 and 10.
Swimming back into the waters and the deep sea will bring you back to Level 7.
Sometimes the cave may shift into Gallium, please DO NOT travel in that direction under any circumstances.
