Bulk Internet Only and Internet/TV Offers

This is a condensed overview of our options for increased internet speed. These are bulk packages, and the cost would be added to your monthly HOA dues. They do not include taxes or a service fee, which would add approximately 9% to each option.

We are waiting for a response from our attorney regarding the need for an official owner's vote and, if so, what percentage of ownership would be necessary to implement a bulk plan.

Hawaii Telcom Pros

1. Fast Upload speed 800 Mbps 

2. Price lock for 5 years

3. Free Eero 7 Wifi Mesh

4. 1 GB download speed 

5. $7,800 cash incentive to the HOA ($100 per unit) - offer expires April 30 2025.

Individual owners can still get fiber optic service at a retail cost, even if the Association doesn't sign a bulk contract with Hawaii Telcom. However, they will still be charged for whatever Bulk option the association provides. Please reach out to the site manager for further details. Hawaiian Telcom Residential rate is HERE.

Hawaii Telcom Cons

1. HT will need to run fiber cable into the complex

2. Fiber wiring will be outside (click HERE for exterior wiring locations)

3. Fiber wiring must run into individual units from the entryway.

4. Will not be ready until around September 1 2025

1. Available as soon as the contract is signed

2. Price lock for 5 years

3. Wiring is already in place

4. 1 GB download speed

5. $15,600 cash incentive to the HOA ($200 per unit) - offer expires April 30 2025.

Spectrum Cons

1. Some owners will need to upgrade the Cable modem to DOCSIS 3.1, which Spectrum provides for free

2. Upload speed is only 35 Mbps until DOCSIS 4.0 comes out (probably roll out in 2/3 years)
