Unit 2 - VR Skills Development

Unit 2: VR Skills Development

2.5 Reflecting on your Success

Now that you have gone through the process of setting up your headset, running through the tutorials and beginning to explore some of the VR apps that are available, it is a good time to reflect upon your learning experience so far.

Consider:

  • How effective was your learning plan

  • What are the most important skills, attitudes, or knowledge that you have developed

  • Are there things that you still want to learn or explore in VR

  • What was the most surprising thing that you came away with from your initial experiences with VR

  • Is there something you wish you would have known or planned for before using your headset and exploring the VR environments

It is important to consider these questions from your personal perspective, so that you can identify gaps in your knowledge and build upon what you have already learned. It is also important to consider these questions from the perspective of an instructor, so that your experiences can inform how you support your students in their learning with VR. We will turn to that question and a lot more in the next unit.
