I-Ching Katie Scott
I am running for Town Meeting because I believe in the democratic process and wish to serve. Currently a member of the Planning Board, I will use the expertise and insight from that work to bring efficiency, advocacy, and depth of knowledge for Precinct 5. I am a LEED Accredited Professional trained in architecture at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design with lateral practice in real estate and urban planning. My family and I live near the Wedgemere train station and can often be found on the bike paths inching along with our old dog. I’d be honored to serve Precinct 5 with your vote.

Issues
Housing – The town needs to better serve those strained by high costs and the scarcity of diverse housing types.
Economic vitality – To increase our commercial tax base and reduce residents’ tax burden, we need to encourage investment in our commercial centers and opportunity areas.
Sustainable and resilient community – Reduce greenhouse gases and become climate-prepared by updating our infrastructure while encouraging responsible development.
