SLP stands for Service Learning Projects and the people in charge of this are the CP staff. At a SLP cadets go to either a senior center or elementary school. If you go to the senior center you do many new and fun activities. You can sing, paint their nails, play 8 ball, give them computer lessons, etc. Helping at the Senior Center is really heartwarming and the elderlies there are always happy to see all of us. If you go to the elementary school you teach the students at the school about JROTC. Once we taught them how to drill and motions in Colorguard.
Some things you can gain from SLP’s are volunteer hours, which are needed for graduation, and you make new friends and meet new people. You also make a lot of new memories.
