Hello, I'm Vishwanath
Welcome to my Portfolio...!
About Me
I have a strong passion for Electrical Engineering, which has led me to pursue a Professional Master's in Electrical, Computer, and Energy Engineering with a sub plan focusing on Embedded Systems Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder.
Prior to this, I obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from JSS Science and Technology University in Mysuru.
One motto that I firmly believe in is, "Energy and Persistence Conquer All Things."
These experiences and beliefs have shaped my journey and drive me to continuously seek knowledge and excel in the field of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Developed an internet-independent embedded system for local voice command processing for smart home device control via Bluetooth. Designed 2.4 GHz Inverted F Antenna on PCB.
Implemented Energy harvesting with the Power Management Unit, to enhance low-energy performance. Developed Integrated Library by creating symbols and footprints to design PCBs for main and edge nodes with industry best practices.
Built a Relay circuit with Back EMF and isolation protection to control AC mains-operated home appliances.
Achieved exceptional energy efficiency, 50 microamperes average current with a battery life of 80 days on a single charge.
Embedded System Designed using 8051 Controller
Built an 8051-development board utilizing AT89C51RC2 chip with a 32KB NVSRAM to increase the storage.
Developed drivers to interface EEPROM using I2C bit banging and integrated an SPI-based DAC module to demonstrate its advantages. Also implemented memory mapping and UART communication using interrupts and timers.
ECG Monitoring System
Designed a 2-layer PCB using AD8232 IC which acts as a heart rate sensor. Interfaced PCB Breakout board with STM32 dev board using internal ADC.
Dispayed the live ECG of a user on a graphic LCD ILI9341 TFT LCD by writing LCD driver functions. Used SPI communication protocol with DMA peripheral to transfer the data from ADC to LCD.
Temperature Monitoring System using FRDM KL25Z board
Developed Bare Metal code to interface the internal PN junction temperature sensor of KL25Z board using internal ADC.
Designed LCD driver functions using a memory mapping technique to display the temperature on a 16 x 4 LCD, providing a clear and concise visual representation of the temperature data. Also made use of UART to display the temperature on the terminal.
Instrument Droid – (PCB Designed)
Devised system to characterize the voltage source by measuring Thevenin resistance and voltage as a function of output current.
Utilized basic principles of Signal Integrity to reduce Switching noise, Ground bounce, and Power rail collapse.
Developed a 4-layer PCB focusing on signal integrity, incorporating return vias to optimize ground paths.
Golden Arduino – (PCB Designed)
Designed an improved Arduino UNO with reduced noise and emissions, utilizing best practices in circuit design.
Boot loaded AT mega 328P using SPI communication, leveraged CH340g for USB to UART. Assembled to test the characteristics and achieved a 80% to 90% reduction in near-field emissions, and a 40to 60% reduction in switching noise compared to commercial Arduino.
