Princeton Carriage 2C

This flashlight, made in New Jersey in the 1980s (prbably), is very sturdy and compact.

The Princeton Carriage Company, a small and lesser-known firm, doesn’t have a clear focus; I’ve only seen them produce some quirky hardware items. They are not primarily a flashlight manufacturer and likely only produced this one model, which even flashlight enthusiasts may not have heard of.

The flashlight is made of aluminium alloy and has a vintage look, using two C size batteries. Its construction is very basic, featuring a rotating screw switch at the tail. It uses an E10 bulb, which is quite primitive, and may have been designed to accommodate the 222 bulb. I personally use an E10 #14 bulb, which only provides floodlight and cannot focus, but the close-range effect is very pleasant. I believe that if you’re looking for classic flashlights, these are definitely worth collecting.
