Halloween Spooktacular Planned for October 31
Trick-or-Treat to be Held from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m.

RUTLAND — The Village of Rutland will conduct its Halloween Spooktacular event on October 31, 2024, with Trick-or-Treat held from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., followed by the Halloween Dance at 7:00 p.m., the Halloween Costume Judging Contest at 7:30 p.m. and the Haunted House at 8:30 p.m. All activities following Trick-or-Treat will be held at Rutland Civic Center and will include food, drinks, games and inflatables.
This year’s Haunted Rutland Civic Center will include a mixed theme haunted house, with corridors and various rooms to be utilized. Mayor Eblin notes the Village will require approximately 30 scare actors. Any person interested in volunteering during the haunted house as a scare actor or crowd control attendant is asked to telephone the Rutland Mayor’s Office by calling (740) 742-2121, extension 1005. Admission is to be determined and will be published in the October issue of The Village Record.
The Rutland Village Council passed a resolution, sponsored by Councilwoman Madalyn Wood, directing the Village Clerk-Fiscal Officer to deposit funds raised during the Halloween Spooktacular in the Rutland Civic Center Fund.
