Band Camp

Band Camp is usually scheduled at the end of July through the beginning of August. It is mandatory for all students who have registered for Marching Band and Color Guard.
Mandatory for all students, including returning students, incoming freshmen and students transferring to IHS.
Please make sure to save the week for Band Camp when you plan for summer vacations.
You must get your uniform fitted at the band camps. If you missed it, please notify Mr Rodda in advance to make arrangements. **If you are only taking a Band or Orchestra class without a separate Marching Band or Color Guard class on Period 7, you do NOT need to come to the camps, but you still need to complete the Annual Signup on Google Form (To be updated).

Mandatory Band/Guard Camp in Summer 2025

7/21-7/25: Camp for Color Guard Only.

- Who: All Color Guard
- Dates: July 21-25, 2025
- Time: 9am-3pm
- Location: Irvington Community Park.
7/28-8/1: Camp for both Marching Band + Color Guard
- Where: Irvington High School – Arrive at IHS Main (Large) Parking Lot, then walk to the Cafeteria. Click HERE for the Campus Map.
- Who: All Marching Band and Color Guard students
- Why: This camp is mandatory for anyone who wants to participate this season.
Prerequisites

All students must complete the 2025–2026 Band Program Annual Signup (even if not in Marching Band or Color Guard). Details on the IHS Band website.
Musicians: Must have at least one year of experience and be enrolled in a concert band class.
Freshmen: No marching experience required.
Color Guard: No prior experience needed.
What to Bring

Instrument, lunch, comfortable clothes, athletic shoes only (NO sandals or marching shoes)
Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, pencil, water bottle (Optional: lyre & folio)
Bring a new sealed 1-gallon bottle of drinking water on Monday (7/28) to Band Room #103. We’ll use these for camps and competitions.
Activities Include:
