Band Camp
Band Camp
Band Camp is usually scheduled at the end of July through the beginning of August. It is mandatory for all students who have registered for Marching Band and Color Guard.
Mandatory for all students, including returning students, incoming freshmen and students transferring to IHS.
Please make sure to save the week for Band Camp when you plan for summer vacations.
You must get your uniform fitted at the band camps. If you missed it, please notify Mr Rodda in advance to make arrangements. **If you are only taking a Band or Orchestra class without a separate Marching Band or Color Guard class on Period 7, you do NOT need to come to the camps, but you still need to complete the 2026–27 Band Program Annual Signup.

**NEW** Instrument Survey: As preparations are underway for our upcoming band camp, we need to know what the status of your instrument is. Please take exactly 1 minute to fill out this Google Form so that Ms. Danielidis can prepare the instruments for camp. Even if you have your own instrument, you must indicate this on the form. Mandatory Band/Guard Camp in Summer 2026

Week 2: 7/27-7/31: Camp for both Marching Band + Color Guard
Mandatory for both Marching Band & Color Guard in All Grades.
July 27th~31st, 2026
Time: 8am-4pm on Mon-Thu, 2pm-8pm on Fri
Where: *NEW*
Drop off at IHS FRONT (horseshoe) parking lot, enter through the door that says "BAND CAMP", then walk to the band room (#103) to check in. Click here for the Campus Map.
Access to the school via the big parking lot is blocked off due to campus construction. Parents and students may still park in the big lot, however they must enter through the front door.
Who: All Marching Band and Color Guard students
Why: This camp is mandatory for anyone who wants to participate this season.
Prerequisites
All students must complete the 2026–2027 Band Program Annual Signup (even if not in Marching Band or Color Guard). Details on the IHS Band website.
Musicians: Must have at least one year of experience of playing your band instrument and be enrolled in a concert band class.
Freshmen: No marching experience required.
Color Guard: No prior experience needed.
What to Bring
Instrument, lunch (students must remain on campus during our lunch break), comfortable clothes, athletic shoes only (NO sandals or marching shoes)
Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, pencil, water bottle (Optional: lyre & folio)
Bring a new sealed 1-gallon bottle of drinking water on Monday to Band Room #103. We’ll use these for camps and competitions.
Activities Include:
