Kennedy MS Summer Band Workshop: a camp for beginning and experiences brass, woodwind, and percussionists. Includes an optional jazz component as well.

- Instrument Fitting Nights (where beginners select instruments, they go around to different “stations” where you play for them and talk to them about why you like the trumpet so much): May 23, 24, and 26 from 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM
- Dates: May 30 – June 9th (No weekends)
- Beginning Session: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
- Advanced Session: 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM

Brevard symphony youth orchestra - mid-season audition 1/7/2024
String students are invited to audition for the Brevard Symphony Youth Orchestra in order to join the organization mid-season! The auditions will be held at Eau Gallie High School on Sunday, January 7 between 1pm-4pm.

The BSYO rehearse regularly on Monday evening at Eau Gallie HS, and will feature two performances this Spring:
Saturday, March 9 at the King Center, opening for the 2pm and 7pm Brevard Symphony Orchestra concerts - this is to celebrate the BSYO's 40th Season, and will feature a composition written especially for the BSYO!
Sunday, April 28 at the Eau Gallie HS Performing Arts Center

2023 Tri-state (FSU) & Festival of Winds (USF)
Wind Ensemble students: before submitting to be considered for one of these events, please consider the costs involved in addition to our trips to Tampa & Memphis. We cannot offer financial assistance or fundraising opportunities for the USF & FSU events.
Do you wish to be considered for one of the below honor band opportunities? Please consider the following:
Both occur Thursday, November 30th - Sunday, December 3 (these may not be considered an excused absences)
Both will require the student/family to pay for the cost of the event:
USF Festival of Winds: $295.00 (plus money for some meals & snacks/souvenirs)
FSU Tri-State: $395.00 (plus money for some meals & snacks/souvenirs)
Both will require the student/family to provide transportation to and from the event
USF takes high school students of all ages; FSU only accepts juniors & seniors

Filling out the form does not guarantee acceptance/participation! USF & FSU will make selections and inform the directors, who will in turn inform students/families.
All requests to be nominated will be considered but not all students will be selected. Thank you for your interest!
