Some items such as MORPHINE have a chance to apply "Addiction" status, it will drain your HP over time, so my advice is to only use items that inflict addition if you have the cure ready, which is Naxolone, after taking it there will be no side effects!
Some other items such as body-fluids (GRAVVAKH) of certain demons/mutants can also cure addiction! Or you just stock on Morphine and embrace your addiction!
QUASIMORPHOSIS
QUASIMORPHOSIS
It is everywhere and just by walking around (spending turns) it will get "worse", however it can be slowed down and even be reversed by some items.
QUASIMORPHOSIS comes with benefits, but being affected by it will also attract demons/mutants more likely. Higher Q-Phases mean stronger enemies!
KOSMOS Cigarettes will reduce QUASIMORPHOSIS by 100
IDOL Demon/Mutant body parts will reduce QUASIMORPHOSIS by 400

Quasimorphosis "Level":
A high level of quasimorphosis makes opponents very strong, but increases the chance of large demons appearing, from which valuable items fall.
Quasimorphosis "Phasing":
Demons spawn have the effect of "phasing", which makes them immune to any damage, but at the same time they do not move.

Wounds can sometimes get infected, causing damage over time!
Acting to slow will result in a quick death, so it is advised to have some ANTIBIOTICS 80%, SORBENT 40% or PAINKILLERS 20% with you! GRAVVAKH will cure infections 100%
