This section presents the scientific research framework of Urban Value Field Economics (UVFE), introducing a new paradigm for understanding urban value within continuous spatial systems. Unlike conventional urban economics, which primarily treats land price as the object of analysis, UVFE considers land price as an observable outcome of the underlying Urban Value Field (UVF). The research framework investigates the generation, propagation, interaction, optimization, and evolution of urban value through field-based and network-based approaches. It integrates mathematical modeling, spatial economics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), artificial intelligence (AI), and computational science to analyze urban value dynamics across space and time. By combining theoretical foundations with computational methods, UVFE establishes a rigorous scientific basis for predictive modeling, policy evaluation, urban planning, and evidence-based governance, supporting the development of intelligent and sustainable metropolitan systems.

In traditional economics, land price is usually considered the object of study (Land Price as the Object).
In UVFE, land price is merely an observation, while the true object of study is the Urban Value Field.
