1.5 Founder

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh Huu Lien is the founder of the Urban Land Value Field (ULVF) and the Urban Value Field Economics (UVFE) frameworks.

His research focuses on urban land valuation, spatial analysis, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), urban economics, and intelligent urban governance. Through decades of professional experience in surveying, geospatial science, and urban research, he has developed a field-based approach that integrates land economics, spatial science, mathematical modeling, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The Urban Land Value Field (ULVF) establishes the theoretical foundation for representing urban land value as a continuous field distributed across space and time. Building upon this foundation, Urban Value Field Economics (UVFE) extends the theory to investigate the dynamics of urban value, including its creation, propagation, accumulation, transformation, and governance within complex urban systems.

His long-term vision is to contribute to the development of Urban Value Science, an interdisciplinary field that integrates economics, GIS, AI, Digital Twins, and systems science to support smart cities and sustainable urban development.
