Urban Value Field Economics (UVFE) is an interdisciplinary scientific framework situated at the intersection of urban economics, land economics, spatial science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), systems science, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
UVFE builds upon the theoretical foundation established by the Urban Land Value Field (ULVF), extending the representation of urban value from a static spatial field to the study of its dynamic behavior. Rather than focusing solely on land prices or market equilibrium, UVFE investigates how urban value is created, propagated, accumulated, transformed, and governed through the interactions of physical infrastructure, economic activities, accessibility, institutional policies, environmental systems, and technological innovation.
From a scientific perspective, UVFE complements rather than replaces existing theories in urban economics and spatial analysis. Classical land rent theory, urban location theory, accessibility theory, and modern GIS-based spatial modeling remain essential foundations. UVFE integrates these established theories into a unified field-based framework capable of explaining the dynamic evolution of urban value within complex urban systems.
By combining economic theory, spatial analysis, mathematical field modeling, GIS, AI, and Digital Twin technologies, UVFE contributes to the emerging discipline of Urban Value Science, providing a new theoretical foundation for smart cities, sustainable urban development, and intelligent urban governance.
