Allegro Experiment

For 2 days during the trip, the class worked with P.h.D students at TU Delft to assist with research related to their ALLEGRO project (Unravelling slow mode travel and transport). On the first day we all rode bikes in a group through a controlled "stop light". The goal was to see how many bikes could fit in a certain area and be able to move through the light. We attempted many different variables such as pedal positioning, signal timing, and staggering techniques. The data was captured via a camera on the roof and the students were assigned video sections to analyze. The second day consisted of scavenger hunt of sorts to different places around delft, the goal was to take pictures and notes to describe the stress level of cycling to different places around the town of Delft.
