INTRODUCTION
The USRF rank structure is loosely based on those used by militaries before the flash, with the three primary ranking groups being Enlistees, Non-Commissioned Officers, and Commissioned Officers. Climbing the ranks in the USRF is primarily based on individual merit and socioeconomic status, with many poor servicemen finding it more difficult to be raised to a position of leadership when compared to better well-off colleagues. Every soldier is paid a bi-weekly wage dependent on their rank that may either be deposited into their savings account or released to them physically at their garrison. The money may then be spent at the quartermastery, internally between the soldiers, or in local towns during economic incursions.
NOTE: Conscripts, Contractors, and Frontiersmen do not have access to the Quartermastery.

These ranks are made up of either a civilian workforce of contractors hired to work in USRF bases, or USRF enlistees that are fresh out of training and still learning the ropes.
These are the lower ranks of the USRF, who have more experience under their belt than the enlistees. They are also known to be the overall backbone of the entire USRF military.
These ranks are responsible for leading smaller to medium sized sections of USRF servicemen, and are much more connected with the ranks below them than the higher ranks are.
The higher ranks have much more experience under their belt, and are responsible for leading larger sections of USRF servicemen, as much as a division of USRF servicemen.
The commanding ranks have been with the USRF for years, and have proved themselves to reach such a position. Although they are much more distant with the lower ranks, they are more connected with the higher ranks, and their fellow commanding officers as well.
