Once there was a man called Edward Tingatinga. He was born in Mozambique, but during the 1960s he established an art form that became associated with his new homeland, Tanzania. Today, "Tingatinga" is the Tanzanian term for this form of art. Find out all about Tinga Tinga art here!
A whole series of children’s TV programmes were based on the paintings by Edward Tingatinga. They told stories of different African animals and used the bright colours and bold patterns that Edward Tingatinga had used in his original artwork. You can watch two of these episodes below.
