"No language can express the power, beauty, and heroism of a mother's love."
Mothers are most likely the one with all of the power. A mother is the most powerful creature in the universe. In every situation, she can handle and control with love and compassion. In other words, God has granted her the authority to handle all of the world's concerns. A one-day Mother's Day celebration is insufficient to express gratitude to all of the mothers across the globe. At any cost, no one can replace them. For their sacrifices, everyone should shower them with love and attention. Mother's Day is celebrated every year on the second Sunday in May.
Happy Mother's Day

It is the inalienable right of every Filipino to participate in a democratic and peaceful process. 36 years ago today, this right was exercised so beautifully during the bloodless EDSA People Power Revolution of 1986.
While actual facts may be subject to arguendo, it remains true that the EDSA Revolution has brought significant reforms in the political landscape of our country. It is a firm reminder that in a democratic republic, no one has totalitarian control over the citizens, and no one stays in power forever. More importantly, it exemplifies the absolute power of the people through a peaceful protest, where the voice of the masses are heard clearly without firing bullets.
Lest we forget that today is not a day of politics, but a day of democracy. Today is a celebration of power of the people, by the people, and for the people.
"Love is the whole thing. We are only the pieces." - Rumi
Everyone of us has our own puzzle pieces. Some of it needs to be sought from other people or maybe, it just simply lies within ourselves waiting to be found. Well, love made that for each one of us.
Imagine the complexity of love, imagine how broad the concept of love is. Yet, one thing's for sure, we are born out of love, we love, and we deserve to be loved. Regardless how people perceive it, love puts everything in one place — the sense of self-worth. As we love others, it immensely exudes to the extent that we gradually find our worth. It may sound embellished but with the absence of love, life is not pleasant as you may think it is.
As we celebrate the day of love, the Valentine's Day, let us not forget how love made us to become strong and vulnerable at the same time. Let us not forget those things we did for love. Let us be thankful for all the painful events that love gave us. Despite how love took us in a wrong station, still, we ended up in a right destination that we deserved. This is our time to express how much we love and appreciate those people who never leave us especially when we were at the verge of our melancholy.
We may have different views about love, we can all agree that love is something that we, humans must have. It may be an eros, philia, storge, or agape. After all, these things made the world diverse.
Just bear this in your mind, you always gain by giving love just like how deserving you are to be loved. A blissful Valentine's to everyone!
Happy Valentine's Day from the College of Engineering Education - College Student Government (CEE-CSG).

Rizal Day is a Philippine Holiday that commemorates the life and notable and historical works of Jose Rizal. A country's national hero and martyr who used his knowledge to pen novels and literary works that spurred nationalism in the hearts of Filipinos. For over 300 years under the Spanish Colonial rule, his works shed light on the abuses of Spaniards which sparked change and his novels become the rallying point on the systemic ills of the society.
In this remarkable point in the course of Philippine history, let us all remind ourselves that Rizal's ideals and teachings still depicts our current conditions in our society. Today, there are numbers of faces that represents Rizal's ambition and chief aim of change and societal reform. These are our writers, leaders activists and artists, they are also our modern-day Jose Rizal.
Let us not forget the sacrifice of our heroes for they shape our society today. Their visions of unmasking ills brought light and freedom. Like Rizal, our shared goal and awakened hearts shall transform society.
This year, we faced a lot of struggles that we thought we couldn't get through it. We experienced global crisis that everyone of us didn't expect to happen. It evolved to different variants. Typhoons, earthquakes, and natural disasters tested us. There were brawls in the government and the clamor of election. The list goes on and on and on. But look, after 2 years of these unending problems, you're still there, alive and kicking!
This Christmas may not be the most joyous celebration you will experience, but one thing's for sure, this will serve as a reminder that you've gotten through all the obstacles you've faced for the past 2 years. This will embark into your minds that you've been in your home, eating spaghetti on the 25th day of December. Besides, Christmas is not just about the abundance you've prepared on your table, but it's the bond and love you've shared with your family. May this time be served as a reflection to look back on the things you've fought and overcome throughout this year!
From CEE-CSG Officers and Staffers, and the whole College of Engineering Education, a Wondrous Christmas to everyone!
The Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary is celebrated today, which is a special non-working holiday. This is the first year that Filipinos will observe the special holiday on a weekday. President Rodrigo Duterte signed the bill into law in December 2017. The declaration, made possible by Republic Act (R.A.) No. 10966, adds another day to the nation's annual holiday calendar. Today we celebrate the birth of the father of Philippine Revolution, Andres Bonifacio. A holiday where we commemorate not only his birth but also his remarkable contributions in the pursuit of freedom from Spanish colonial rule. His leadership in uprising against Spanish through a secret society called Katipunan was a fundamental groundwork in Philippine history.
His works includes "Pag-ibig sa Tinubuang Lupa" and "And Dapat Mabatid ng mga Tagalog" and with the onset of Philippine revolution, his contribution has sparked nationalism among Filipinos in creating a revolt to overthrow the Spanish colonizers.
May we always remember our heroes from our history and always took glance from our past!
"Love your country next to God, your honor, and most of all, yourself." -Andres Bonifacio

For two consecutive days, we join the entire world in celebrating the holiness of saints and commemorating our beloved who have passed away. Today, we will remember the value of our lives, and the significance of the life of others to us. Let us show that they are never forgotten, and that we remember them always in our hearts. The world today is not what it is if not for what they have done.
Let us also remember those who passed away because of the global pandemic, our heroic brothers and sisters in the medical field, frontliners who offered their life so we may keep ours. We are forever grateful and indebted of their sacrifice.
Have a blessed All Souls' Day, ka-Phoenix!
During the fight of the living against COVID-19, as we prioritize our safety amidst pandemic, faith should not be cancelled and the dead and sacred shall be reminisced.
For a solemn moment, let us leave our pens, dim our gadgets, and light up the candles as we offer our prayers to our deceased loved ones and honor the sacred holidays. This November 1st, together with the Christian community, the College of Engineering Education - College Student Government (CEE-CSG) observes the All Saint's Day in commemoration of the departed souls and all saints who have attained heaven.
From our respective homes and away from graves and churches, let us retain the connection with God and celebrate these holidays in safety and peace.
A hero is selfless, extraordinary, a generous soul and brave. A symbolism of bravery not because they do not fear but because of their will and perseverance despite the fear. Heroes are our image of courage and hope.
But heroes are not just what we see as statues framed in museums, in history books and classic posters. Some of our heroes are in the military field, hospitals, clinics and classrooms with empty voices of children. These are our modern day heroes that deserves all the praises and acknowledgement for their dedication, perseverance and hard work even this toughest times in the world.
Today, let us not forget to celebrate the essence of heroes day. Many fallen heroes have lived their lives in service for others, and the only way to repay them is to give due importance on their lasting legacy.
