Tomorrow is not the end, for it will be our start for the next journey. Prepare yourself and keep grinding for that goal. As you study for the last term this 2nd Semester, take note and don't forget the schedules for the subjects you'll take an exam with to prevent confusion and commotion. With that being said, prepare also your requirements needed to take the exam starting tomorrow. You got this, always do your best and remember that you're already a step closer to your dreams.
God bless, Future Engineers.

Today will be one of the biggest and most critical moments in our time that will define and shape how our country will move forward for the next six years. Our personal choice will affect not just our individual selves, but the repercussions will extend to the most marginalized sectors of our society—those farmers who barely have anything to eat, the fishermen who cannot fish on our own waters, those people who eat leftovers from garbage dumps, the oppressed women, our indigenous peoples, and everyone who lives in the fringes of our society.
Therefore, choose wisely and intelligently. Choose a leader that will choose you and will choose them—the poorest of the poor. Rely on facts, on truths, no matter how unpleasant they might be. Have the openness to learn and unlearn things and ground those according to the compass of what is good, righteous, lawful, and just. Let us elect a leader who is responsible, accountable, someone who will safeguard the democracy, the rule of law, and uphold the dignity of human rights. Someone who, above all listens to the helpless and faintest voices of our people and will bring them together to the future we deserve—a future that is ablaze with hope, kindness, and exceptional public service.
In the coming 2022 National Elections, let us remember to make informed decisions and check the qualities of a leader that the Philippines, in this tough times, need.
In this coming election, let us use our power to elect exemplary leaders.
YOUR VOTE. YOUR CHOICE. YOUR FUTURE.
The College of Engineering Education - College Student Government (CEE-CSG) is looking for aspiring, active, and adamant leaders who aim to bring betterment, glory, honour, and excellence to and for our College and University, as a whole. Today marks a very sentimental day for our graduates for they will now be closing this chapter in their lives and write a new book as they embark on their personal and independent journey. All the perceived insurmountable odds, sleepless nights, periods of doubts and countless moments of stumbling and falling - all are worthy to reminisce in this wonderful day, as they were also part of this success. Various changes happened due to pandemic that we encountered last year and this year. Drastic transitions of academic set-up from face-to-face environment to virtual platform really affected the normal routines of every student. Even so, students didn't take it as a hindrance to step up on their studies. They still able to adapt gradually until they get used to the new normal of studying.
As we faced this last term for this school year 2021-2022, let us not forget how we've get through from the previous terms and semesters. Let us not forget no matter how many struggles we've been striving for, we never chose the option of giving up but instead, we constantly moving forward. Despite of how pandemic ruined the normalcy of our academic set-up, we still able to conform with this change. Hopefully, things will become better for this year and we may get the chance to settle everything back into normal.
To all UM Engineering students, STRIVE HARD and DON'T EVER GIVE UP WITH YOUR DREAMS! God bless for this second term.
Building passion.
Future engineers.

Last December 6, 2021, a memorandum was issued to the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) granting and approving the application for tuition increase by Directors and Officers-in-Charges (OIC) of CHED Regional Officers and Presidents or Heads of the 56 HEIs for tuition increase and other school fees for Academic Year (AY) 2021-2022. Among the 56 private Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) is University of Mindanao (UM).

Limited face-to-face classes for all programs in Alert Level 3 areas can start ‘ANYTIME’ — CHED
The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) announces its memorandum on their detailed plan for implementation of limited face-to-face classes. In the said memorandum, Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) should place the safety and health of their students as a topmost priority. Assuring that safety protocols will be strictly observed and that universities should comply on the necessary health measures on the reopening of classes.
The clamor for reopening of schools were heard. The Commission on Higher Education is optimistic in the transition to limited face-to-face. This phase taken by CHED will be of great help specially to college students with courses or subjects that require physical simulation and hands-on training. Further delay of the reopening of universities and colleges will certainly jeopardize work efficiency in the future labor environment, thus this action, with assurance of students welfare is indeed a huge deal.
Let’s all hope for a ligtas balik eskwela!

Breaking Today - DOH reports two imported Omicron variant cases today after detection from the latest genome sequencing courtesy of UP-Philippine Genome Center (UP-PGC) and UP-National Institute of Health (UP-NIH). One of the cases was from a Nigerian national who arrived last November 30, and the other from a returning overseas Filipino from Japan who came last December 1.
As we know, the Omicron variant, having been first detected in South Africa, was assessed to have greater transmissibility and pose a very high global risk, as warned by WHO.
Untimely as it is to receive such terrible news this holiday season, it is imperative to adhere to public health standards and maintain physical distancing. Now that probability for local transmission is higher than ever, the government urges the general public to get vaccinated and receive additional protection against COVID-19.
Now that being said, College of Engineering Education - College Student Government (CEE-CSG) is making another call to everyone to get vaccinated to protect yourself, your family, and the people around you. Break the stigma and take a step.

32 years ago, a legend and a music icon was born. She made history by changing the music industry in Hollywood and helped artists to gain profit in online platform like Apple Music and other music streaming medias. She showed her artistry, signature autobiographic lyricism, and mastery in storytelling through music. She changed the retrospect relationship between artist and fans by inviting them to her private house for album listening session before releasing it physically and digitally, and baked for them. She outreached by sending random gifts to her fans and pay for their tuition fees. She inspired people and fans alike, and continued to do so. There are more to her than what is seen on the public eye. She is Taylor Swift.
The College of Engineering Education - College Student Government (CEE-CSG), as a huge and avid fan of her masterpieces and artistry, greets her a happy birthday. Continue to grace us with your music and continue to tell us the beautiful narratives of love, both happy and sad.
Throughout history, pageantry has become a massive platform of women empowerment. It has become a rallying point for collective actions, it intensifies social movements and a joint force of strength among women. This year, the 70th Miss Universe is held at Israel which centers for environmental care and climate change interventions.
With all the 80 stunning women from different classes and social statures, our very own Beatrice Luigi Gomez finishes Top 5 in this year's edition, with her solid and fierce performance for both swimsuit and evening gown. Also Beatrice showcased one of a kind national costume which impressed the Filipinos on her Bakunawa-Inspired Costume which also symbolizes on her final transformation.
After a series of deliberation, one outstanding woman was crowned, Harnaaz Sandhu of India won the most coveted Miss Universe title.
Today, 12-02-2021 is an 8-digit palindrome date.
Palindrome Days happen when the day's date can be read the same way backward and forward. The dates are similar to word palindromes in that they are symmetrical.
Are palindrome dates lucky? Some cultures believe palindrome dates to be lucky. It has long been viewed as carrying special significance and even spirituality. Adding to the universal appeal and rarity of Sunday's date is its achieving the eight-digit palindrome pinnacle.
Let's not all put our hopes, dreams, successes, and favors for this date, but use this as booster to reach our goals and objectives. Let's use this as spices for the coming days because our success does not depend on numbers and luck, but with perseverance, sacrifices, determination, and attitude.
Future Engineers, continue to strive and to learn more, this way, you will never go astray.
Caroling. Lights. Lanterns. Gifts. Pine Trees. Mistletoe.
Few things to remind us that it's Christmas. It is one of the grandest holidays of the year, and for so many good reasons. As Justin Bieber said, "It is the most beautiful time of the year". Indeed, it signifies hope, healing, love, family, generosity, kindness, good will, and all kinds of positive and vibrant energies.
The Christmas atmosphere — with its fairyland of colorful lights, smell of pine needles, smiles of excited children, maybe even an unexpected snowfall — is one of joy and happiness.
Let's start the countdown in celebrating CHRISTMAS DAY, we are 24 days away from it. Prepare your outfits, speeches, and gifts for your family and friends. Let's celebrate it with joy and memories to cherish.
Do you love yourself?
Do you want to protect your family, friends, and loved ones?
What are your reservations about getting vaccinated?
Are you scared?
Did you miss your 2nd dose appointment?
This is the time to make a difference and to protect everyone. Join the NATIONAL VACCINATION DAY this November 29, 2021 to December 1, 2021, it is a unified effort and initiative between the national and local government with coordination with the Medical Community. This is open for walk-ins and those who missed their 2nd dose appointments.
We, the College of Engineering Education - College Student Government (CEE-CSG) is urging and calling the UM Community to get vaccinated in time for the holidays and to achieve population protection before the year ends. Based on the recent survey by the university, out of 26,385 students across UM Branches, only 53.50% were vaccinated. In an effort to regain the rights to her intellectual property, Taylor Swift is re-recording her first six albums. It's her ultimate middle finger to the bureaucracy of the music industry, and it is very telling that even someone of Swift's star power cannot hold on to the rights to her recorded work.
