Bertahun-tahun kemudian―setelah mengunjungi Lady Justitia di kota tua Römerberg, saya menempuh studi di bidang hukum, belajar tentang filsafat hukum, dan mengerti tentang prinsip keadilan (justitia).

Objek kajian filsafat hukum adalah hukum itu sendiri, dengan menyelami hingga ke dasarnya yakni hakikat. Filsafat hukum dapat mengubah paradigma guna memenuhi perkembangan hukum pada waktu dan tempat tertentu.
