The Union of Patriotic Associations of the Porte des Maures (UAPPM) is a non-profit organization established under French law (Law of July 1st, 1901) and officially declared in the Var Prefecture (RNA W832012071).
UAPPM represents Groupement 16 of the Fédération Nationale André Maginot and brings together several patriotic associations committed to preserving military memory, organizing official commemorations, and transmitting the history of World War II to younger generations.
Based at the Maison des Associations Patriotiques in Le Lavandou (Var, France), UAPPM operates across the Porte des Maures territory, including La Londe-les-Maures, Le Lavandou, Bormes-les-Mimosas and Le Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer.
The organization hosts the Amicale Régimentaire des Commandos d’Afrique, the Amicale des Combattants et Victimes de Guerre, and the Salle d’Honneur des Commandos d’Afrique, a memorial space dedicated to the Provence Landings of August 15, 1944.
UAPPM is dedicated to honoring veterans, preserving historical heritage, and ensuring the transmission of memory through ceremonies, educational initiatives, and local partnerships.
