Students who volunteer with this program partner with local hospitals to provide frontline healthcare workers with meals generously donated from local restaurants. Volunteers assist with connecting interested donor businesses with in need community hospitals, and arranging fresh meal delivery.
Time Commitment: Minimum of one 2-hour shift/week plus attending a weekly meeting
Students who volunteer with this program work as part of the UA Stronger Together and Street Medicine Phoenix team, to create and distribute hygiene kits to the COVID-19 high risk homeless population of Phoenix. Volunteers will seek out donations from local businesses, package and distribute hygiene kits.
Time Commitment: Minimum of 1 hour/week
Interested students apply for and are accepted by the Maricopa County Health Department (MCDPH) volunteers. Volunteers supporting this initiative will need to have their own transportation, and will pick up food at one location and deliver it to another location.
Time Commitment: Minimum of one 2-hour shift
