In case of fire at school
When the fire alarm sounds the following procedures are to be followed:
Teacher/s in the classroom will take the fire list and calmly tell the students to prepare for evacuations. The teacher makes sure that everybody has left the building and are accounted for and close the door.
Students will move and follow their teacher to the evacuation area in an orderly manner. Teacher will make sure all students are accounted for and will report to principal by signalling with the fire card (green and red sides).
All staff not directly in-charge of a class will help with the evacuation process. Once all students are accounted for, proceed to final evacuation area.
Persons in charge/brannvernleder: Principal
In his/her absence these (in this order) will take over his/her duties as brannvernleder: Business Manager - Office Manager – Head of MYP – Head of PYP.
