Students are encouraged to bring their own healthy packed lunch and snacks from home. Examples of health lunch/snack choices are: leftover homemade food, meat pålegg, fruits and vegetables, yogurt and other dairy products, whole wheat bread and biscuits, knekkebrød and others.
Students are not allowed to bring food and drinks with high sugar content. Examples of food/drinks may be: soda drinks, chocolate drinks, chocolate spread as the only spread , candies and chocolates, chips, cakes, cookies.
Teachers will monitor students lunch and snack food. They will evaluate whether food/drinks brought to school are considered healthy choices or not.
When teachers find out that a student is bringing in food and drinks that are considered not healthy choices, the teachers will contact the parents to advise about healthy eating.
Excemptions
The school may make excemptions for special occasions.
