The school rules also apply to school trips. The school's insurance also covers school trips.
The school appreciates the educational benefits of school trips and will strive to arrange out of classroom learning experiences as appropriate. This includes day trips and overnight trips. Trips can provide a new and stimulating learning environment for the student such as:
Offering the chance for learning out in the field and hands on experiences
Unique opportunities for improving the social environment of the group
A change of scenery
Access to resources that would otherwise not be available
The chance to vary methods of working
The opportunity for students to learn and understand new environments
From the school year of 23/24 we are increasing activity levels at TRINT. Regarding school trips, this means that we hope to do the following:

Sleepover at school
PYP 3-4
Sleepover at school or any other place
PYP 5-6
Sleepover in tents + water practice
MYP 2-3*
Camp school in Norway or abroad, 4 -5 days ( 4 teachers) every other year (Year B)
MYP 4-5*
Trip abroad, 4-5 days (4 teachers) Every other year (year A)
*The school's financial situation will at all times determine the level of activity, but the goal is to keep the activity level as described in the table above.
